The European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy ("Fusion for Energy")

The framework contract will cover the provision of engineering support to develop analysis in the area of mechanical design of the vacuum Vessel. This includes:
i) planning of analysis;
ii) preparation, execution and evaluation of analysis;
iii) reporting of the analysis; and
iv) checking of analysis.

The official language of Fusion for Energy is English. Documentation provided under Section III.2 shall be in English or accompanied by a translation of the relevant parts. This procedure is related to the work programme 2012. ITER is a joint international research and development project that aims to demonstrate the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The partners in the project - the ITER Parties - are the European Union (represented by EURATOM), Japan, the People´s Republic of China, India, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation and the USA. ITER will be constructed in Europe, at Cadarache in the South of France.

Companies can consider two ways of collaborating in an offer: either as joint partners in the tender or through subcontracting. Offers may also combine both approaches.

Tenders can be submitted by groupings of economic operators who will not be required to adopt a particular legal form prior to the contract being awarded.

If the grouping has not yet adopted any legal form, tenderers shall be aware of that, if they are awarded the contract, Fusion for Energy will require them to sign a “power of attorney” based on a model provided by Fusion For Energy, which provides for a form of cooperation.
