The European Joint Undertaking for Iter and the Development of Fusion for Energy

Procurement of services, first, for the integration design of port-based diagnostic systems into ITER ports, and second, for the built-to-print designs of the housing and support structures hosting diagnostic components.
In addition, contract activities also include, to a smaller extent, the procurement of supplies for test hardware manufacture.
Fixed (direct) part relates to the provision of the Quality Plan and the preparation for, and attendance to, the KoM (for which the relevant price will be quoted with the tender).

Technical feasibility of fusion power.

The European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy, (hereinafter “Fusion for.

Energy” or “the Joint Undertaking”) is a joint undertaking created under the Euratom Treaty by European.

Union Council Decision 2007/198/Euratom of 27.3.2007 establishing the European Joint Undertaking for.

ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy and conferring advantages upon it.

Fusion for Energy is established for a period of 35 years from 19.4.2007 and is situated in Barcelona,

Spain. The organisation has the following Members:

— Euratom, represented by the European Commission,

— the Member States of Euratom,

— third countries which have concluded cooperation agreements with Euratom in fusion that associate their respective research programmes with the Euratom programmes and which have expressed their wish to become Members.

Fusion for Energy's role is to provide the European contribution to the ITER International Fusion Energy.

Project, to implement the Broader Approach Agreement with Japan and to prepare for development demonstration fusion reactors ("DEMO"), therefore Fusion for Energy will play a key role in realising fusion as possible future source of energy.
