Tokamak cargo lift and Tokamak/Assembly hall cranes
The scope of the contract covers the design, certification, manufacturing, testing, installation and commissioning of the following:
Two (2) 750 t cranes with principal features:
— Electric overhead travelling crane,
— 2 hoists of 375t capacity each, fitted to the crane,
— Span of 45,2m,
— Length of travel 190m,
— Height above ground approximately 42,4m,
— Strict positional control requirements,
— Suitable for use with lifting beam (see item below),
— Suitable for use in tandem control configuration,
— Wireless control,
— Non nuclear load,
— Seismic qualification.
One (1) lifting beam with principal features:
— Dedicated for use in tandem lift with the two 750t cranes (see item above),
— Total lifting capacity of 1 500 t with powered slew.
Two (2) 50 t cranes with principal features:
— Electric overhead travelling crane,
— 50t main hoist with 5t auxiliary hoist,
— Span of 43m,
— Length of travel 190m,
— Height above ground approximately 38,4 m,
— Wireless control,
— Non nuclear load,
— Seismic qualification.
One (1) 120t cargo lift with principal features:
— 120t capacity lift,
— Size of object 3,7m high x 2,7m wide x 8,5m long,
— Nominal floor of lift internal 4,3m wide X 9,1m long,
— Height of lift 32m,
— Nuclear load, lift will subject to approval by Nuclear Regulator, require full documentation and be based upon ALARP/ALARA,
— Lift to be controlled from both the lift car and from a remote control room,
— The nuclear load will be contained but will not be shielded,
— Seismic qualification.
The scope of the design, certification, manufacturing, testing, installation and commissioning of the cranes and lifting beam will include rails and their mounting system, all control gear/transformers, power supplies from a fixed point in the building, maintenance hoists, platforms and the delivery of all supporting documentation.
The scope of the design, certification, manufacturing, testing, installation and commissioning of the tokamak cargo lift will include the carriage, carriage doors, hoisting mechanism, lift shaft mounted equipment, electrical control gear, local/remote controls and the delivery of all supporting documentation to meet the standards of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
