The European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy ("Fusion for Energy")

Provision of support to the Design Office of F4E in the areas of mechanical CAD, plant layout (equipment & systems) CAD, schematics CAD, and electrical engineering CAD.
The activities will be split in 2 lots:
— Lot 1 will concern the general mechanical systems related to various ITER components,
— Lot 2 will concern plant process design and electrical process design, again for various ITER elements.

This procedure is related to the work programme 2012. ITER is a joint international research and development project that aims to demonstrate the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The partners in the project - the ITER parties - are the European Union (represented by Euratom), Japan, the People´s Republic of China, India, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation and the USA. ITER will be constructed in Europe, at Cadarache in the South of France.

Companies can consider two ways of collaborating in an offer: either as joint partners in the tender or through subcontracting. Offers may also combine both approaches.

If the grouping has not yet adopted any legal form, tenderers shall be aware of that, if they are awarded the contract, Fusion for Energy will require them to sign a “power of attorney” based on a model provided by Fusion For Energy, which provides for a form of cooperation.
