Supply of EUROFER-97 finished products

European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy ('Fusion for Energy')

This contract concerns the supply of EUROFER-97 finished products in the form of plates of various thicknesses from 1,2 to 45 mm and bars. These EUROFER-97 finished products will be used for: (i) development of pF/WPS for TBM box assembly; (ii) qualification of the developed pF/WPS for the TBM subcomponents and TBM box assembly; (iii) fabrication of a prototypical mock-up to be used for TBM performance testing prior to first TBM installation in the ITER machine; (iv) checking the reproducibility of properties compared to batches of EUROFER-97 available from the previous procurements and for confirmation/assessment of achievable limits for detrimental impurities like Nb, Mo, Ni, Cu, Al, Co. This procurement is based on the rules and requirements presented in the RCC-MRx 2012 Afcen code.
