Procurement of a 170 GHZ high-power CW source for the testing of electron cyclotron launcher components

The European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the development of Fusion Energy (‘Fusion for Energy’)

This contract concerns the supply of a microwave source to be procured and installed in the EU EC Component Test Facility (ECT-FALCON). The microwave generator (Gyrotron), its ancillaries and a matching optics unit (MOU) with HE11 waveguide output together constitute a high power microwave source. The Source is required to deliver a reliable high power, long pulse output (170 GHz, 1 MW) relevant to the ITER operating conditions.
