The scope of the Multiple Framework Contracts comprises the design, manufacturing, delivery, on-site integration, commissioning, and final acceptance tests of components and systems to be delivered in-kind to ITER. ITER is an international project to design and build an experimental fusion reactor based on the tokamak concept. General information on the project is available at www.iter.org. The components and systems subject of this call are intended for maintenance and replacement of equipment located in the nuclear fusion reactor. They are identified in the ITER project breakdown structure (PBS) as: PBS 23.02: Divertor Remote Handling System. PBS 23.03: Cask and Plug Remote Handling System. PBS 23.05: Neutral Beam Cell Remote Handling System. Multiple Framework Contracts in cascade will be placed for each of the following lots: Lot 1 - Divertor Remote Handling System (DIV RHS) and related activities; Lot 2 - Cask and Plug Remote Handling System (CPRHS), also known as Transfer Cask System (TCS), and related activities; Lot 3 - Neutral Beam Cell Remote Handling System (NBRHS) and related activities. The Joint Undertaking may make payments to a participant in respect of the selected candidate's expenses incurred in participating in the competitive dialogue, according to the modalities which will be communicated at the beginning of the Dialogue phase. The Divertor RH System provides the means for the remote replacement of the ITER Divertor System. The Divertor RHS concept relies on the use of heavy RH transporters (known as “Cassette Movers”) and dexterous tele-manipulators. The Divertor RHS makes use of the ITER Cask and Plug RH System (PBS 23.03, see description of Lot No. 2) to house the remote handling equipment, to transport contaminated / radioactive in-vessel components away from the tokamak building, and to bring replacement parts to the vacuum vessel inlet ports.

N.B.: For all the contracts/projects included in the lists mentioned at bullets 1a, 2a and 3a-2 above, the following information shall be provided as a minimum: a brief description of the subject matter of the contract, the signature date, the contract value and duration, contract customers/end users (specifying if either public or private), the main actors (components of the industrial group) and the precise responsibilities of the participant, the list of which of the RH relevant technologies and activities specified under bullet 0) above are covered, the performed engineering services, and the nuclear design related tasks.

1b) For the contracts under bullet 1a) in the left column, the following requirements will apply:
1b-1. all of the seven (7) contracts need to have been signed during the last ten (10) years, with at least three (3) contracts having been concluded during the last five (5) years. 3b) The CVs under bullet 3a) in the left column will be considered acceptable if:
3b-1. The average experience of the five senior engineers in the area of remote handling is at least ten (10) years, and the areas of expertise of the five engineers (considered all together) covers all of the Remote Handling relevant technologies and activities mentioned under bullet 2a);

4b) The score achieved in the "Supplier QA Questionnaire" requested under bullet 4a) is higher than 25, and all required documentation is provided and acceptable.
An economic operator may, where appropriate, rely on the technical and professional capacities and capabilities of other entities, including subcontractors, regardless of the legal nature of the links which it has with them. It must in that case prove to the Joint Undertaking that it will have at its disposal the resources necessary for performance of the contract, by submitting the Undertaking Form on the part of that entity stating their unambiguous undertaking to collaborate with the tenderer and to place those resources and capabilities at its disposal.

The Contractor undertakes, on the terms and conditions set out in the Contract and in the Specific Contract and the Appendices hereto, as amended by:
DNO#138906: “Splitting of Deliverable 25 into 25(a) and 25 (b)”,
DNO#152229: “Change to Twistlock orientation, reduction in crane stoke height, movement of Deviation 25 b to ADP 5“,
DNO#169534: “Extend Testing and link deliverables between Task Order 5 and 6”, which form an integral part hereof, to execute the tasks specified in the Task Description (Appendix II).
